This winter, join us as we explore the dozens of charming experiences that can only be had in Tohoku. Just a shinkansen ride away from Tokyo, Tohoku in winter transforms into a dreamland of ski slopes, steaming hot springs, and snowy townscapes reminiscent of Japan of yesteryear. And let’s not forget the award-winning sake breweries too!
This fun packed tour combines the best of two worlds: an off the beaten track experience along with Japan’s capital city, Tokyo! On our Tokyo days, we’ll visit the famous Tsukiji Outer Market, Ameyoko Shopping Street, and Yushima Tenjin for beautiful plum flower viewing. There’s even a complete free day to sightsee on your own or catch up on omiyage shopping!
On this complete tour, we’ve included 4 exciting festivals: Hirosake Castle Snow Lantern Festival, Odate Amekkoichi (Candy Festival), Namahage Festival and Bunkyo Plum Festival. Also included are: 2 bullet train rides; 2 hands-on experiences with indigo dyeing experience and kamaboko making; a ropeway ride; a bay cruise in Matsushima; sake brewery tasting; and so much more!

Your Tohoku Winter Wonderland and Tokyo Tour 2025 includes:
- Round trip airfare via Hawaiian Airlines from Honolulu.
- Note: Airline baggage fees are additional and paid directly to the carrier.
- 8 nights’ accommodation in centrally located hotels.
- All sightseeing with a local English-speaking guide throughout the tour.
- Admission fees included based on itinerary.
- Inflight meals, breakfast daily at your hotel, 3 lunches and 2 dinners.
- All transportation via private charter bus.
- All tour-related taxes are included in the price.

- Reserve with $75 per person deposit, refundable up to 65 days prior to departure, December 3, 2024.
- Final payment due by December 15, 2024. Package is non-refundable after this date.
- Special Assistance: You must inform us of any disability/impairment that requires special attention at the time of your making the reservation. We reserve the right to cancel the reservation(s) if the disability/impairment is unsuitable for the tour. - A minimum of 16 participants is required for the tour to operate.
- A valid passport is required of all U.S. citizens & must be valid at least 6 months from the return tour date. Non-U.S. passport holders must check with the Japanese Consulate to see if a visa is required.
- Land tour costs are based on current currency conversion rates, which are subject to change.
- Air ticket fare is guaranteed, but taxes, fees and fuel surcharges are subject to change until tickets are issued, approximately 53 days out.
