Known as "The Swamp" where "Only Gators come out alive", the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is home to the University of Florida Gators, one of the powerhouses in the SEC. The lower half of the stadium was originally constructed back in 1930. In 1982, the South End Zone Project was completed, bringing the seating capacity up to 72,000. The addition of the North End Zone in 1991 raised the capacity to over 84,000 seats.
In August 2003, the fifth renovation was completed on the stadium, bringing the current capacity to 88,548. The project cost $50 million and required no funding from the state of Florida. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is currently the largest in the state of Florida and is one of the largest (and loudest) in the country.
ATMs are located at several locations around the stadium gates. Concession stands are available that serve traditional stadium fare along with specialty concessions. First aid stations manned by physicians and medical personnel are located throughout the facility.

It is prohibited to consume or possess any alcoholic beverage in or around Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the stadium except in the designated smoking areas located in the North and South End Zones. Re-entry into the stadium once your ticket has been torn is strictly prohibited.
