The 3-Star Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino was renovated in 2006 and has a great location right across the street from Caesars Palace in the heart of the Las Vegas strip. It's a large hotel offering a great assortment of games, entertainment, dining options and property amenities.

The guestrooms are decorated in either tropical style floral or white and tan in color with standard rooms offering either one King size bed or two double beds. All rooms have wireless high speed internet access (fee), cable TV, pay-for-view movies, Nintendo, voice mail, direct dial, telephone hair dryer, bath amenities, iron and board and much more.

There are nine dining options including Embers, voted one of Las Vegas's Top Five Most Romantic Restaurants, featuring chops and steaks, tableside salad and dessert preparation. Ming features an exotic Asian setting featuring Cantonese and Mandarin cuisines, while Fireside is more down home with barbequed entrees and steaks and chops. If you love seafood, don't miss the Cockeyed Clam for some casual dining including lobster rolls, chowder, crab cakes and more.

More casual fare can be found at the Pizza Palace, the Teahouse (which is a 24-hour coffee shop), Burger Palace and Betty's Dinner, serving snacks, ice cream and desserts. From mid-April to late October, the hotel hosts the Imperial Hawaiian Luau, a poolside buffet and Polynesian review on Tues., Thurs. and Sat. evening.

Property amenities include a business center, fitness equipment, full service day spa, 24-hour room service, arcade/game room, hair salon, shopping on site, concierge desk, steam room, security guard, year round 12 person spa tub, outdoor seasonal swimming pool with sundeck cooled by misters and so much more.

Entertainment includes the original tribute show, Legends in Concert. There are incredible look-a-likes and sound-alike superstars such as John Lennon, Elton John, Dolly Parton, Cher and, of course, Elvis. The Karaoke Club is open nightly where American Idol wannabes can choose from 15,000 songs from Alabama to ZZ Top. There are at least 10 bars and lounges in the hotel spanning the range from the Rockhouse Bar and Nightclub to the relaxing Nomiya Lounge.

And always, there are the games. Imperial Palace has 1,500 of the hottest, newest games in town offering multi-denominational with ticket in and ticket out, as well as slots that go from one penny to $25. Table games include Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Big Six, Pai Gow Poker, Three-Card Poker and "Let it Ride" Poker. The Casino also offers free Gaming classes in Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Texas Hold'em, Monday through Friday. The Race Book features 12 big screens and 230 individual TVs at every seat with a great racing atmosphere without the sounds of slots.
