It might be hard to believe, but traveling is not only a wonderful experience, but it is also an educational experience. When you travel you learn about different cultures and customs and you see sights you've never seen before. There are animals you might have only seen in a zoo; trees and plants only seen in a book; and scenes of nature that will take your breath away, whether it is your first glimpse of Mt. Fuji, hiking through an ancient redwood forest; diving on the Great Barrier Reef; or seeing Victoria Falls for the first time.

There is also the history, art and music of different cultures and countries that you can experience. Join in with residents if you are lucky enough to be visiting during a Fiesta or any type of special event. Celebrate Oktoberfest in Munich, Cinco de Maya in Mexico, Bastille Day in Paris or Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City and hundreds of other celebrations that are held throughout the year in so many countries. It's a great way to meet the residents of wherever you are.
