Queen Kapiolani Hotel As its name implies, the Queen Kapiolani Hotel recalls the glory days of the Hawaiian monarchy. Named after the Consort of the last king of Hawaii, David Kalakaua, Queen Kapiolani was a beloved figure in Hawaiian history. In the lobby of the Queen Kapiolani Hotel note the museum-quality paintings of both the King and Queen along with her beautiful niece, Princess Kaiulani.
