Seattle and Alaska Cruise Tour

Panda Travel ® is taking you back to the States with a tour of Seattle and Alaska.

Seattle is a city of many neighborhoods: Eclectic, urban, outdoorsy, artsy, gritty, down-to-earth, or posh—it’s all here, from the quirky character of the Seattle Waterfront and the eccentric “Republic of Fremont,” to hipsters walking baby carriages past aging mansions on Capitol Hill. There’s something for just about everyone within this vibrant Emerald City. And let’s not forget it’s the birthplace of Starbucks Coffee.

Downtown Seattle is a mecca for the state’s best food, shopping, and activities! Whether you are a first time visitor or returning, there are endless opportunities of places to visit and activities to try. There’s nothing quite like the summer months in Seattle!  You’ll have a chance to pay a visit to the world famous Pikes Place Market and maybe have the opportunity to toss a fish.

We will leave Seattle to take a cruise up to Alaska aboard the Celebrity Solstice.  Our first stop will be Ketchikan.  Ketchikan is one of Alaska’s most Southeastern cities and the first stop on the way to more Northern climes.  Ketchikan itself can be rewarding, as the city is the gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument, an area so beautiful, it is known as “The Yosemite of the volcanic activity, Misty Fjords offers gorgeous views of natural formations, all reflected in the calm waters of Pacific inlets.  Feeling adventurous?  Make a stop at Zipline Adventure Park.  More than just a straightforward harness-and-zipline experience, this aerial ropes course challenges you to climb a 50-foot tower, cross narrow log bridges, and whiz above Ketchikan’s ocean shores and temperate rain forests on seven different lines.

Another port we will visit while on our cruise is Juneau, Alaska’s capital city. Juneau is a thriving city offering a great blend of city amenities and small-town hospitality, all in the heart of Alaska’s majestic mountains, rivers, glaciers, and forests. Nearly 31,000 people call Juneau home – many of them working in government, tourism, mining, and fishing, and all of them instilled with a deep love for this place. Such a mix of personalities makes Juneau unique.

The last port stop is Victoria, British Columbia.  The capital of British Columbia is located on Canada’s largest island, Vancouver Island. This seaside enclave and one time British colony has retained much of its colonial splendor. And thanks to a temperate climate, Victoria blooms with color during the spring and summer months. Victoria has something for everyone! There’s so much to do and see, it’s just a matter of choosing. From international icons like The Butchart Gardens to hidden gems like Canada’s oldest Chinatown, your day in Victoria can be as busy as you choose it to be.
