A favorite after hours stop for well known island chefs, the Side Street Inn offers family style servings (aka heaping platters) of delicious food. The fried rice is considered the best on the island and the pork chops are not only a must, but addictive. There is nothing particularly fancy inside, except for the aromas coming from the kitchen and it can get kind of noisy at times with the various sports playing on the TVs, but the food is well worth it. The menu is really extensive and there are almost always people waiting in line to get in, so if you are a group, make a reservation in advance. Side Street Inn was recently highlighted on the Travel Channel with Chef Anthony Bourdain, so the crowds are even bigger, so have patience - the wait will be well worth it. Parking is limited, but valet is offered and well worth the price. Open for lunch 10:30 am to 12:30 pm Mon. to Fri. and dinner from 4 pm to 12:30 am daily.
