For most of his career, Chef Nicolas Chaize has worked in fine-dining restaurants before opening this amazing take-out spot, close to the pier's edge (there is dining on the covered lanai). It's amazing because he creates gourmet meals with a French flair served on paper plates or in take-out containers at unbelievably low prices. Every morning he walks a few steps over to the United Fishing Agency auction and picks out the freshest fish for his various dishes, including his best seller, the Furikake Pan Seared 'Ahi. But he also makes a great hamburger and perfectly authentic Fish and Chips. The Sunday breakfast, complete with live music, is extremely popular and usually there are long lines, so get there early. He also creates great soups of the day and his gourmet fish of the day is a bargain one won't find anywhere else. Open Mon. to Fri. from 5:30 am to 5 pm and Sat. from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. Cash only.
