Right in the middle of revitalized Chinatown and sharing a beautiful small square with the Hawaii Theatre, the award winning Indigo Eurasian Cuisine has been a success since they opened their doors in 1994. The old building features authentic red brick, along with hardwood floors, high ceilings and wicker. The patio for outside dining is a tropical wonderland, looking out to the square's large water feature. It is a stunning restaurant, but it is the food that keeps people returning again and again. With a combination of French, Mediterranean and modern Asian cuisine and a great choice of both hot and cold appetizers, soups and salads and entrees, the hardest decision might be what to order. Some favorite starter dishes include the Indigo Crab Cakes with chipotle aioli and the Seared Laotian Beef Salad with Spicy Greens and Sweet Peppers. Entrees range from a delectable Roasted Rougie Duck Leg Confit and Dragon Fire Shrimp to Mongolian Grilled Australian Lamb Chops or a wonderful Miso Marinated Salmon Filet. There is a full bar and a large wine menu.
