The original Grand Café & Bakery was at 106 N. King Street and was co-founded by Mr. Ti Chong Ho in 1923. His great grandson, Anthony Kui Sin Vierra is the Executive Chef of the re-established Grand Café & Bakery in the former Wing Coffee building built in 1916. The building has been beautifully renovated; there is an outdoor patio for dining al fresco and absolutely terrific food created by Chef Vierra. If you go for breakfast, try out the "Remember when…" Fresh Home Cured Corned Beef Hash that is absolutely wonderful, topped with local eggs your way served with rice or Potatoes O'Brien. For pure decadence and something different, indulge yourself with the Island Banana Foster French Toast - something to dream about for months. Lunch includes a great hamburger, Reuben and a tasty Sicilian Panini, as well as salads and sides. Dinner menus are seasonal. There is no liquor license, but you can bring your own bottle with a nominal wine glass charge. Open Tues. to Fri. from 7 am to 1:30 pm; Sat. breakfast & lunch and Sunday brunch is available from 8 am to 1 pm; dinner, Wed. to Sat. from 5:15 to 8 pm.
