The Penne Pasta Café is another venture of well known chef, Mark Ellman and his managing partner, Juan Gomez. A family restaurant that features the cuisine of southern Italy, the prices are extremely low and the food is extremely good. The sauces are slow cooked to bring out all the flavor of the tomatoes and spices and their meat sauce is made with hand cut Brisket and slow cooked for at least 5 hours. Everything is made in house including the various pastas. They also make wonderful thin crust pizzas, the best Nicoise salad in town (using freshly caught Ahi tuna), sandwiches, classic southern Italian dishes, desserts and a children's menu. There is outdoor patio seating as well as indoor air conditioned seating. A nice selection of beer and wine is also available. Open Mon. to Fri. from 11 am to 9:30 pm; Sat. & Sun. from 5 to 9:30 pm.
