The location in a strip mall (the Rainbow Mall) is not the most attractive, but once you are inside you'll be delighted with the openness of the airy room with its hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows and the exhibition kitchen on one side and the circular bar in the middle. You'll also be delighted with the food. There is an extensive menu for both lunch and dinner, as well as an amazing assortment of fresh sushi from giant clam to a great spicy tuna roll and everything that swims in the ocean in between. They also have sushi special nightly. For lunch there is a choice of salads including Caesar, Asian, Curry Chicken, Jumbo Tiger Shrimp Salad, Hot Seared Steak and the very healthy, Quinoa Salad. All their sandwiches are served with the day's specialty salad and a great choice would be the Macadamia Crusted Breast of Chicken served on foccacia with baby greens, tomato and basil aioli, really flavorful. Another winner is the Crab Club, a Snow crab salad with crisp bacon, Haiku Organic Farm greens, tomatoes, bacon and avocado, one of those sandwiches you'll dream about later. But fans insist the best is the Seared Ahi Sandwich with Wasabi mayonnaise on foccacia. They also feature several entrée specials, all very reasonably priced from Tempura Mahi and Chips, Blackened Mahi Mahi, a Plate Lunch special and a Crisp Fried Boneless Chicken with sweet roast pepper sauce and steamed rice.
Dinner features Brick Oven Appetizers such as Baked Manila Clams, Oysters on the Half Shell, or Mediterranean Mussels with shallots, chardonnay, garlic, butter, thyme and Gruyere Cheese. Specialty Appetizers feature the popular Manoa Lettuce Wrap with chicken, water chestnuts, ginger, Hoisin sauce and the lettuce, delicious crab cakes, fried oysters and more. The Baked Maui Onion Soup en Croute is outstanding as is the Seafood Chowder and there is a great selection of fresh salads. Entrees feature such choices as Brick Oven Roast Duckling, Medallions of Beef Tenderloin with Foie gras, cabernet, shallots and thyme, served with buttermilk mashed potatoes, a wonderful Sage & Mushrooms Linguine and so much more - and most amazingly, the prices are really reasonable, especially for the quality of food you are receiving. There is a full bar serving cocktails, beer and wine. Open daily for lunch from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm and dinner from 5 pm to 9 pm. Closed on Monday.
