The Barefoot Bar is Hula Grill's more casual area with a different menu and not as long a waiting list. (See below for Hula Grill review). Sort of the place you go when you didn't make reservations early enough to dine at Hula Grill. So you can sit at the bar, chat with the bartender and get a well poured drink at a surprisingly low price (this is Maui after all) while you wait. When you're taken to your table with its thatched umbrella, you suddenly realize you're actually on the beach, not just next to it. A perfect place for wiggling toes in the sand while enjoying a perfect beach dinner in the moonlight and best of all, casual food that matches all that perfection. Serving lunch and dinner, you can choose from all sorts of wonderful fish dishes, including a great Baja Fish Taco and firecracker roasted fresh fish or for the carnivore, a wonderful Hula cheeseburger and fries with an 8 oz. burger from Maui Cattle Company, applewood smoked bacon & Maytag blue cheese on a Ciabatta roll - it's juicy, tasty and has the total yummy factor. Great appetizers, salads, sandwiches and pizzas are also available. The atmosphere is terrific with nightly live Hawaiian music and hula, so shed those shoes and enjoy a great time at the Barefoot Bar. Open 11 am to 11 pm, with drinks from 11 am to midnight.
