The 2-Star Budget Castle Hokele Suites Waikiki (formerly Marc Suites Waikiki) is an older ten story hotel located toward the Ala Moana end of Waikiki. The hotel features studios and 1 and 2 bedroom suites and it is expected to go through a $4.5 million phased renovation in the early part of 2007. Using rich textured woods, native stones and a tropical motif, the Castle Resort & Hotel group are planning on turning the property into a 3-star boutique hotel.
The rooms are large, with large lanais (balconies) and feature a kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, stove, coffee maker, cookware and utensils. Studios include two double beds, one bedroom, one queen size bed and one sofa bed; and two bedrooms with one queen, two doubles and one sofa bed, or two queens and one double sofa bed. Amenities include daily local newspaper, in-room safe (fee), hair dryer, iron/board on request, clock radio, direct dial phone and Cable TV and high speed internet access and more.
While there is no in-house restaurant, the Hokele Suites is within walking distance of many restaurants, including Keo's Thai Restaurant, Tony Roma's and other dining spots. It is also within walking distance of the beach which is a good opportunity to check out various other restaurants and clubs on your way to the beach.
