The Wailea Beach Marriot Resort & Spa is a nonsmoking hotel. Smoking is not allowed in any rooms, lanais and public areas. To accommodate guests who smoke, the property has designated smoking areas located at the Beach Walk and at the bus service area in front of the hotel.

Renowned Chef Mark Ellman has a new restaurant at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa - the Mala Wailea. The restaurant and lounge are visited by a star-studded list of celebrities, including rocker Alice cooper, who can be occasionally seen there on the weekends. Chef Ellman, one of the original founders of Hawaii Regional Cuisine, places an emphasis on freshness and the use of locally grown products, creating excellent cuisine in a stunning ocean front setting. The lounge is open from 5 to 10 pm and the restaurant from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.
