The Lodge at Koele is set in the central highlands of Lanai and is one of Hawaii's rare inland hotels. It is also, along with its sister hotel, the 5-Star Four Seasons Resort Lanai, Manele Bay, one of Hawaii's most exclusive properties.

The Four Seasons Resort Lanai, The Lodge at Koele just completed a $50 million dollar upgrade in November 2006 in order to be branded a Four Seasons Resort. And like all Four Seasons Resort properties, The Lodge's service is impeccable, the atmosphere is luxurious and simply a wonderful place to get away from it all. The resort recently received the highest scores on Conde Nast Traveler's 2007 "Gold List", making it the top ranked resort in the United States and the 6th best resort in the world.

Reminiscent of a fine country estate, it features an upcountry Hawaiian setting with extensive art, a Japanese hillside garden, Hawaiian fruit gardens and a new Pagoda imported from China, set on the banks of the reflecting pool. Secluded among decades-old towering Cook pines and Banyan trees at an elevation of 1,600 feet, The Lodge is situated on the outskirts of Lanai City. Surrounded by acres of gardens, sculptures and gazebos, there is even an English conservatory to enjoy and an Orchid House, which also was fully renovated.

With 102 luxurious rooms and suites, The Lodge at Koele offers unbelievable comfort in their Garden Rooms where each room has a spacious 98 sq. ft. lanai (balcony) with rustic outdoor furniture and a living area that is 406 sq. ft. The rooms are beautifully decorated and include ceiling fans and oil paintings by local artists. There is both air conditioning and heating as well as the signature Four Seasons Two Poster Beds, with down duvets and pillows. The full marble bathroom features a large vanity with lighted make-up mirror, a deep soaking tub with shower along with L'Occitane bath amenities and 100% cotton oversized bath towels and thick terry bathrobes.

The living area features an entertainment center with a 40-inch LCD television and CD and DVD player, private bar, coffee maker, writing desk, in-room safe, dual-line telephone and high-speed internet access. Other amenities include complimentary overnight shoe shine and daily newspaper, twice-daily housekeeping service with evening ice delivery, 24-hour room service, speaker phone with conference call capabilities, voice mail and even hiking sticks to explore the many hiking trails in the area.

All of the dining options at The Lodge have also been refurbished with new menus and furnishings. The elegant Dining Room is the ideal place for a romantic, intimate dinner with its ambiance of a country estate living room with a wood burning fireplace. The menu features classical culinary techniques using only the freshest of ingredients. Open for dinner only. The Great Hall features High Tea in the afternoon, 2:30 to 4 pm and is a wonderful place in the evening for appetizers, coffees, cocktails and desserts with live entertainment by local musicians, 7 to 10 pm. With its stunning view of the gardens and reflecting pool, The Terrace offers contemporary American grill selections and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and also features both a children's and teen menu.

The Experience at Koele Clubhouse features soups, sandwiches, salads and light snacks, which can even be ordered from your golf cart and delivered to your location on the course. The Trophy Room is a great spot for those who love table games with its pool table, shuffleboard, foosball and a variety of others, or those who just want to kick back and watch some sports on a 46-inch LCD television, with drinks and snacks offered throughout the day. Finally, there is the Tea Room Bar with its creative cocktails, drinks to warm you on a chilly night in the highlands and a great light menu, open from 11 am to 11 pm daily.
