The ResortQuest Kauai Beach at Makaiwa (formerly Courtyard by Marriott at Waipouli Beach), is a lovely ocean front property that recently completed a multimillion-dollar renovation, which included a complete refurbishment of all guest rooms and public areas. Reminiscent of Hawaii's plantation era, the hotel is set on the secluded sands of Waipouli Beach, amidst a 10-acre coconut grove.

The rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated, featuring down/feather pillows and luxurious linens and furnishings. There is cable/satellite TV with complimentary cable channels CNN, ESPN and HBO. The lanai offers the perfect spot to watch the sunset or just to ponder on the beauty of Kauai. The ResortQuest Kauai Beach has several dining spots, including Cook's Landing for lunch; Market, which is a kiosk featuring fast food items; the fabulous Tihati's Hiva Pasefica, traditional Hawaiian cuisine with one of the very best Polynesian shows in the state; and, Voyager Grille, a terrific classic steakhouse.

There is an oceanfront swimming pool and whirlpool, tennis, jogging paths, the Pua Day Spa featuring manicure, pedicures, body wrap, body scrub and massages (fee), There are golf courses, hiking trails and horseback riding nearby as well as kayaking and mountain bike trails.
