Castle Resort's 3.5-Star Kiahuna Plantation & Beach Bungalows are located on 35 acres of tropical paradise along one of Kauai's best known beaches, Poipu. There are 42 plantation-style buildings with one- and two-bedroom condos spread out throughout the large grounds, but all facing Poipu Beach, a "best beach in America" winner several years ago.

The buildings are three stories high and there is no elevator, but the views from the top floors are just stunning and well worth the climb. Think of it as exercise, because once you come here it will be terribly tempting to laze your days away, wandering through the grounds, lolling on the beach, enjoying the entire island experience.

The Kiahuna Plantation condos are spacious and include large furnished lanais with charming white wood railings offering garden, partial ocean or ocean views. The décor of the various condos is basically island-style, but does vary as these are individually owned. All 2 bedroom condos are on two levels. All the condos include a full kitchen and seperate dining/living area.

The grounds are really special and include the Moir Gardens, known as one of the very best in the world for succulents and cactus, as well as ancient Hawaiian lava rock walls, orchids gardens, gigantic monkey pod trees, plumeria trees, hibiscus and various lava rock ponds.

This is a resort for those who really want to get away from the stresses of todays lifestyle of too many e-mails, too many phone calls and so little time to just actually sit down and enjoy the moment. Here you can do that, but if you are looking for all the luxuries with spas and constant entertainment, this probably would not be the place for you.
