Located on Kamiloloa Beach about 1-1/2 miles from Kaunakakai, the Hotel Molokai is a nostalgic old Hawaiian resort with Polynesian-style accommodations and a full service restaurant with lounge featuring nightly Hawaiian entertainment. Only two miles away is the town of Kauanakaki, where travelers can enjoy shopping, dining and visiting historic landmarks. More adventurous travelers may choose to embark on the famous guided mule tour at Kalaupapa National Historic Park, only a short drive from the hotel.
The hotel has gained a loyal following for those who appreciate the hospitality, the charm of the rooms and the location. Property amenities include parking, laundry facilities, poolside bar, outdoor swimming pool, sun deck, security and more. Hotel Molokai is a Pet Friendly hotel and allow dogs & cats up to 15 lbs (fee).
Hula Shores Restaurant is currently closed for construction. Hula Shores Bar is open from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm daily with a limited menu available for your enjoyment. The lounge at Hula Shores features tropical drink specials and authentic Hawaiian entertainment. Each week, the weekend begins with their Aloha Friday Sunset Celebration with Hawaiian “aunties” who entertain through music, hula and share tales of island lore and culture. Festivities include an age-old island torch lighting ceremony, artisan wares, and a live band all evening.
Molokai is considered the most Hawaiian of all the islands, mainly because most of the residents are Hawaiian. There are no high rises, no neon, no traffic jams and absolutely not one stop light. It is a different world where the pace of living is slower and laid back and where total enjoyment comes from being with friends, listening to a slack key guitar and watching the stars come out.
