The Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort is a beautiful, oceanfront resort in an absolutely enchanting setting. Once the private retreat of Hawaii's royalty, you can still find a replica of King David Kalakaua's beach house and the remains of three heiau, ancient Hawaiian temples. There are oceanfront tide pools to explore, Hawaiian sea turtles that will fill you with wonder and lush gardens filled with native trees and plants to enjoy. Throughout the resort you will find wonderful displays of Hawaiian art and crafts, from delicate flower leis to rare Koa wood outrigger canoes.

The rooms are spacious and the décor is elegant. The amenities are what you would expect from any first class hotel. The dining options include the open-air dining at the Kama'aina Terrace with a lovely panoramic view of the Kona Coast. The perfect spot to enjoy a sunset, watch the rare green sea turtles in the tide pools just below the terrace and listen to some wonderful Hawaiian music. For more casual dining you can enjoy a great lunch at the Kalanikai Bar & Grill, specializing in hamburgers, salads and sandwiches.

For activities, the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort offers a nice variety from six tennis courts, two of which are lighted; a swimming pool with children's pool overlooking the ocean to an Hawaiian culture and arts program for both adults and children and the wonderful Kalona Spa, offering various types of massages and much more. And with a minimum three night stay, one Island Explorer Kit per child will be given upon check-in to each family with children ages 5 to 10 years old. The Kit includes the Island Explorer Activity Guide, backpack, binoculars, sunglasses and pen.
