The Outrigger Kanaloa at Kona is a 3-star gated condominium property located on a lava rock formation overlooking beautiful Keauhou Bay. 37 walk-up buildings (no elevators) with two or three stories are situated amidst lush tropical plants and beautiful landscaping. The property is just 7 miles south from Kailua-Kona and a few minutes from the Keauhou Shopping Center.

Upon check-in, guests receive a packet of three postcards (one packet per room). These Postcards from Paradise will be mailed by Outrigger to anywhere in the world, free of charge. Additional postcards may be purchased from the reception desk. With a minimum stay of three nights, children 5 to 10 years receive a free Island Explorer Kit (2 maximum); inside is a Friends of the Reef Adventure/Let's Explore Hawaii Guide, colorful backpack, sunglasses, pen and binoculars.

There are three swimming pools (Main, Adult Only and Oceanfront), each with a sundeck, whirlpool and nearby barbecue grills. Other property amenities include complimentary parking, two lighted tennis courts, picnic areas, four bars/cocktail lounges, complimentary wireless internet access in the lobby and adjacent pool area, a tour desk, laundry facilities and more. The Kona Country club adjoins the property and offers 36 holes of scenic championship golf.

The one and two bedroom units at the Outrigger Kanaloa are very spacious with high beamed ceilings and feature an island décor. Units are all completely furnished and come with fully equipped kitchens and covered lanais with great views. Two bedroom units have two full bathrooms. Units are cooled by ceiling fans and tropical breezes.

Room amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, washer/dryer, direct dial phone with voice mail, in-room safe (fee), iron/board, bathtub/shower, alarm clock/radio, dial-up internet access (fee) and more.

For dining, Edward's Restaurant is located next to the oceanfront pool and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you want to take advantage of your kitchens or the available grills, Costco, Wal-Mart and Safeway are all available in Kona to purchase food for a relaxing meal at your home away from home.
