Biking - Tour de Gastown
Find yourself a spot on the sidewalk, and then stand back because world-renowned cyclists are about to race right past you. They fly up Water Street in Gastown then leap into the hairpin turn at Cordova Street. Then a quick dash to Maple Tree Square and Gassy Jack's statue, then back up Water Street to the finish line at the Steamclock. It might not be the Tour de France, but it's an exciting race to watch.
June 2 to October 28, 2006 - BC Place Stadium
Football - BC Lions
If you can score some tickets for any of the Lions games, it would be worth it, if only to be in the 60,000-seat domed BC Place Stadium and to experience Canadian football, which is slightly different than America football. There are only three downs on a longer and wider field which creates a faster moving and more intense pass oriented game.
September 23 to April 15 - GM Place

Cheering on their team and favorite players is almost a national pastime and if the games are not sold out, seeing a hockey game in person is unforgettable.
